Las oraciones en pasado tienen la misma estructura de las oraciones en presente. O sea que tienen sujeto, verbo y complemento en ese mismo orden, pero el verbo cambia a su forma en pasado.

Como ves, conjugados en pasado, algunos verbos terminan con "ed" y otros terminan con diferentes letras.
A los que terminan con "ed" se les llama regulares y a los otros irregulares.
No existe una regla que nos pueda indicar cual es cual, por lo tanto debemos memorizarlos. Una recomendación es primero memorizar todos los irregulares y sus formas.
